Two day trip to Daugavpils - birthplace of Mark Rothko

     

Daugavpils (former Dvinsk) - the seconed largest city in Latvia. Located  200 km from Riga. It’s a place where world famous people were born -painter Mark Rothko, chess player Movsas Feigins, director of Mossad Isser Harel, composer Grzegorz Fiteberg and many others. On our trip we will visit places conected with the biography of the artists, and the Art centre the way there will be a stopover at Gostini, a town in Latvia where a biggest amount of jews were living – 84,9% of the total inhabitants were jews. Nowadays that is a part of Pļaviņas city that is located on the bank of Daugava River.
Overnight in a guest house or hotel according to the budget.
