Daily canoing and rafting trips in Latvia is available from early spring in April to October. In some rivers water conditions are flat in the summer. Always contact your agent or instructor before going. The most visited river is Gauja, also Venta and Salaca. The Gauja River is safe and very picturesque, running through the National Park with sandstone cliffs and tree covered banks. For trained people also Amata, Ogre, Abava, but for nature orientated people Age River and Vecslocene Rivers.
